Below is a breakdown of how donations are used:

40% is allocated toward compensation for project staff's time spent on work such as interviewee recruitment, conducting interviews, creating transcriptions, post-production, website maintenance, and delivery of files to the Library of Congress.

40% is allocated toward compensation for interviewees' time spent preparing for their interviews and participating in the interview process.

10% is allocated toward annual admin fees (annual website costs, Vimeo subscription, etc.). Once these expenses are covered, funds will be allocated toward staff and interviewee compensation.

10% supports the Association of Moving Image Archivists, our fiscal sponsor and professional association dedicated to advancing the work of audiovisual archives worldwide.
